The project entailed a complete modernization and renovation of two historic Fire Stations in Washington, DC Engine Co. #28 is located on Connecticut Av, NW and was an extremely challenging site to work at with absolutely no staging space.

The work included complete interior demolition, a new concrete parking super structure, Utilities, Widening of the existing Historic Apparatus Bay Door Openings (Stone), New Masonry Partitions, Structural Steel, Carpentry & Millwork, Roofing, New Doors & Windows, Framing & Finishes, Epoxy Flooring, Metal Lockers, Hazmat Abatement, Fire Sprinkler & Alarm Systems, FF&E, Fire Station Alert & AV Systems, Vehicle Exhaust System, Rainwater Reuse System, Green Walls, and MEP Systems. Engine Co.

#29 is located on McArthur Blvd very close to the DC Water Reservoir. The site had underground water streams, a very high-water table and poor soil conditions. The work at EC #29 included all the above and a new addition and retaining walls for which we had to install pile foundations.
